The DoctorΓÇÖs past catches up with him when a terrified child he once encountered is revealed to be Davros. In the present, Davros summons the Doctor to Skaro, claiming he is dying. Clara and Missy are drawn into the conflict, facing the Daleks. The Doctor is forced to confront whether saving Davros as a child led to the creation of his greatest enemy.
The episode begins on a battlefield where a young boy is stranded among hand mines. The Doctor later realizes the child is a young Davros, creator of the Daleks.
Davros, now aged and dying, asks to see the Doctor one last time. This sets up a confrontation filled with questions about their shared history.
Clara Oswald is captured by the Daleks and must survive inside one of their casings, leading to key revelations about how Daleks communicate.
Missy returns and teams up with Clara, providing both comic moments and unpredictable danger.
The episode explores mercy, morality, and the origins of evil, particularly through the DoctorΓÇÖs relationship with Davros.
