The Doctor teams up with a superhero called the Ghost to stop an alien conspiracy involving brain swapping and global takeover.
The Ghost is a masked superhero in New York who is later revealed to be Grant Gordon, a man who gained superpowers as a child after meeting the Doctor.
The Doctor plays a more traditional companion role in this story, reacting to the superhero world rather than dominating it.
The alien villains use mind transfer technology to replace humans and infiltrate powerful positions on Earth.
The episode explores heroism, identity, and the blending of science fiction with comic book style storytelling.
