Millions of small black cubes appear across Earth, doing nothing for months. The Doctor stays with Amy and Rory, experiencing ordinary life while UNIT investigates. Eventually, the cubes activate, stopping human hearts. The Doctor confronts the alien Shakri and reverses the effects. The episode focuses on the DoctorΓÇÖs difficulty with normality and the companionsΓÇÖ growing awareness of life beyond travelling.
ΓÇ£The Power of ThreeΓÇ¥ follows the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, and Rory Williams as mysterious black cubes appear across Earth and slowly begin affecting global systems.
The cubes are alien devices placed worldwide that seem harmless at first but gradually activate to disrupt human infrastructure and society.
UNIT, the Unified Intelligence Taskforce, investigates the cubes and works with the Doctor to understand the alien threat behind them.
Amy and Rory are shown living a more settled domestic life, highlighting their emotional distance from the DoctorΓÇÖs travels and foreshadowing change.
This episode blends domestic drama and alien invasion in Doctor Who, marking a transitional emotional phase for the Eleventh Doctor era.
