The Doctor stands against an army of Cybermen, refusing to abandon the people he has sworn to protect. Bill retains her identity despite her transformation and is ultimately rescued by the sentient puddle from earlier. Missy and the Master confront each other, leading to betrayal and death. The Doctor is mortally wounded but resists regenerating.
The Doctor confronts the spread of Cybermen aboard the colony ship while multiple incarnations of the Master compete for survival and control.
Both Missy and the earlier incarnation played by John Simm appear together, representing different moral paths of the same character.
The Doctor tries to protect the remaining humans and delay the CybermenΓÇÖs advance despite overwhelming odds.
Bill, now partially converted, is ultimately saved in a transformed state by Heather, who returns to help her.
The episode focuses on endurance, identity, redemption, and the DoctorΓÇÖs refusal to give up even when defeat seems inevitable.
